1992 The year in which the band relocate from Sydney to Melbourne and are joined by Warren Ellis [Dirty Three] and Jim White [Dirty Three].

Brief history: The Blackeyed Susans (MkI) formed in Perth in 1989 and consisted of Ross Bolleter, Phil Kakulas [Martha's Vineyard, Triffids], Alsy MacDonald [Triffids], David McComb [Triffids] and Rob Snarski [Chad's Tree]. They relocated to Sydney in 1990 (MkII), coming together when it suited them for the pleasure of playing. By early 1992 (MkIII) -and after David McComb returned from living in London- they reassembled in Melbourne, where they enlist Warren Ellis [Dirty Three] and Jim White [Dirty Three].

Note: Mietta (O'Donnell, who's grandparents were Italian migrants arriving in Melbourne from Milan,Italy in 1928) opened her restaurant, "Mietta's" in Brunswick Street, North Fitzroy in June 1974. It moved in 1985 to Alfred Place in central Melbourne, eventually closing in 1995. In 2001, Mietta was killed in a car accident in Tasmania while travelling to speak at a food and wine seminar. She was a Melbourne-based Australian restaurateur, chef and food writer, and also a noted arts and music patron.

Aftermath: When Dirty Three starts to happen, Warren leaves the Blackeyed Susans (as well as 2 other bands, Salmon's Trouble Makers and the Body Electric). He is replaced by Mark C Halstead. To this day the Blackeyed Susans are recording and touring.
