Brief history: The Blackeyed Susans (MkI) formed in Perth in 1989 and consisted of Ross Bolleter, Phil Kakulas [Martha's Vineyard, Triffids], Alsy MacDonald [Triffids], David McComb [Triffids] and Rob Snarski [Chad's Tree]. They relocated to Sydney in 1990 (MkII), coming together when it suited them for the pleasure of playing. By early 1992 (MkIII) -and after David McComb returned from living in London- they reassembled in Melbourne, where they enlist Warren Ellis [Dirty Three] and Jim White [Dirty Three]. |

Aftermath: When Dirty Three starts to happen, Warren leaves the Blackeyed Susans (as well as 2 other bands, Salmon's Trouble Makers and the Body Electric). He is replaced by Mark C Halstead. To this day the Blackeyed Susans are recording and touring. |
